About Carmen
I notice the things
that make a place feel like itself.
Photographer, writer and Fora Travel Advisor. Carmen's work begins with attention: where to stay, which neighborhood fits, what is worth the extra night, and which details will matter long after the trip is over.

I'm a writer and photographer drawn to the spaces between; the quiet streets after lunch, the light before it shifts, the feeling of arriving somewhere for the very first time.
Travel has become my way of understanding the world and my place within it. What began as a camera roll full of memories slowly evolved into a collection of photographs, stories, reflections, and thoughtfully crafted travel guides inspired by the places that have shaped me along the way.
Every photograph here was taken on a journey that changed something in me, sometimes loudly, usually quietly.
Today, I share those experiences in two ways. Through my writing and photography, I hope to inspire more intentional travel. As a Fora Travel Advisor, I also design thoughtful journeys that invite travelers to experience places with the same sense of curiosity and care that shapes my own.
Whether you're looking for ideas, planning your next adventure, or simply stopping by to read a story, I'm glad you're here.

How Carmen plans
Good travel is usually
a series of better decisions.
Start with how you want to feel
The right destination and hotel depend on the pace, occasion, interests and energy of the trip; not just a ranking.
Choose the neighborhood before the room
Where you wake up changes how the entire day unfolds. Location is part of the experience, not an afterthought.
Leave room for the place
A good itinerary has structure without filling every hour. Carmen prefers enough space for discovery, rest and changing your mind.
Use expertise where it matters
Booking, comparison, logistics and live details are where a human advisor can save time and prevent expensive compromises.
Where Carmen is especially useful
A point of view,
not a catalog.
Carmen is especially drawn to trips where culture, place, design, food, neighborhood life and thoughtful pacing matter as much as the reservation itself.
Slow European cities
Mexico through culture & design
Boutique stays with a sense of place
Creative city breaks
Multi-city trips without the chaos
Ready when the trip is
Start with a question.
Or send Carmen the trip.
